FAQ

What pronunciation do you use?
In our Greek classes we use the Erasmian pronunciation. Students can feel free to use either the Erasmian, Attic or Koine pronunciation in class, and if they are interested we can discuss the differences between these as well as the influence that our different mother-tongues have on how we pronounce Ancient Greek. Achieving a perfect reconstructed pronunciation is not the main goal of our classes, instead we focus on understanding and communicating with each other as well as with the ancient authors.

How many students are there in each class?
We teach in a small group setting of no more than six students. Keeping groups small is important to us since we want to be able to consider each individual student’s goals and wishes as well as to give them the opportunity to actively participate in class. If classes are full, we can add you to our waiting list so as to let you know when new spots are available.

What payment methods are available?
We currently offer the following payment methods: Wise (more info here), bank transfer, credit card, PayPal. Please note that if you pay via PayPal or credit card, we will charge an additional 5% of the course fee so as to cover the transaction costs.

What if I have to cancel a class? What is your refund policy?
You can cancel your registration any time via email. If you cancel before a class has started, you will receive a full refund of the course fee you have paid minus a ten percent administration fee. If you have to cancel a class that has already started, you will receive a partial refund in direct proportion to the number of classes that you already have attended minus the ten percent administration fee. For example: If you have to cancel half way in of a course, you will receive a 50% refund minus 10% percent of the originally paid course fee.
