Ancient Greek A2 – Selections from “A Greek Boy at Home”

When?

Once a week, for an hour and a half,
18:00-19:30 Central European Time,
From April 16 to June 25 (every Sunday),
with a break on May 7 (ten weeks in total). 

Who is this class for? 

1. Beginners who have the equivalent of one or two semesters of university studies.
2. More advanced learners + teachers of Classical Languages who want to get some first experience with spoken AG.

The aim of this class

– To acquire communicative competence in Ancient Greek.
– To learn Ancient Greek in an immersive environment. 

Methodology

– Classes taught entirely in Ancient Greek
– The primary textbook we will be working with is A Greek Boy at Home by Rouse, but other exercises will be added in order to develop oral skills.   
– The course consists of 10 sessions of 90 minutes, plus exercises to do at home on your own.

About Rogelio

Rogelio studied Classics at the University of Mexico City and at the Free University Berlin. He has taught numerous Latin and Greek classes online as well as in person. From 2020 until 2022 he worked as a teacher at the Polis Institute, Jerusalem, holding the position of Ancient Greek and Latin Department Coordinator. Rogelio is currently teaching classes for Triodos Trivium as well as pursuing a PhD in Byzantine Studies at the University of Vienna.

Triodos Trivium is offering online language classes in Ancient Greek and Latin. After sending out this registration request, you will receive a confirmation email with the necessary payment information. Your registration will be complete after you have paid the course fee of the class you want to attend.
You can cancel your registration any time via email. If you cancel before a class has started, you will receive a full refund minus a ten percent administration fee. If you have to cancel a class that has already started, you will receive a partial refund in direct proportion to the number of classes that you already have attended minus a ten percent administration fee. For example: If you have to cancel half way in of a course, you will receive a 50% refund minus 10% percent of the originally paid course fee.
